SYM DRGBT 160: the futuristic sport scooter full of technology
SYM (Sanyang Motor) has launched the new DRGBT 160, its futuristic 160cc sports scooter, which arrives with an ultramodern design based on the symbol of speed and strength, and packed with a lot of technology.
Recently, the company updated its 400cc scooter, the Maxsym 400, with new design, Full-LED lighting, keyless system, Traction Control, lighter chassis and USB port with QC 3.0 charger.
According to the them, the DRGBT 160 derives from the Italian dragon, the main design image, combining art and function with the unique design element of Italian fashion. The letters DRG mean dragon and BT stands for ‘Best Technology’, that is, every model of the brand with ‘BT’ in the name brings the latest technologies available.
It has a compact and integrated body, Full-LED lighting, LED digital panel, one sided rear swingarm, rear monoshock suspension and a short, sporty exhaust.
The SYM DRGBT 160 is equipped with the latest technology, such as BOSCH dual-channel ABS brakes, traction control, kind of wheelie control (A.L.E.H. – Anti-Lift Engine Hanger System), Z.R.S.G. – Zero-Resistance Starter & Generator, ECO Friendly Start-Stop System, and USB socket with QC 3.0 charger.
According to SYM, the A.L.E.H. does not give discomfort to the rider when instant acceleration, and also increases the stability of the rider at high speed and the swirling maneuvers. The Z.R.S.G. is equipped with the idling stop system which, after three seconds of idling, the engine automatically turns off. When the throttle is applied, the engine is driven by the brushless motor to start the engine.
Talking about the engine, it is a 158 cm³ liquid-cooled single-cylinder EURO5, capable of generating up to 10.9 kW (14.6 HP) of maximum power at 8000 rpm, and 14.6 Nm (1.47 kgfm) of torque at 6000 rpm.
In addition, the transmission is automatic CVT, the fuel tank capacity is 7.4 liters and the curb weight is 135 kg.
Anyway, the SYM DRGBT 160 arrives to be the most daring sports scooter of the brand and to stand out among several models available, ranging from 50cc to 508cc.
