Honda launches 2022 CB300R in India with assist and slipper clutch

Honda has launched in India the 2022 CB300R, its 300cc ‘naked’ bike, which arrives with an assist and slipper clutch, as well as other high-spec items.

The CB300R has a design called ‘Neo Sports Café’, the same as the CB1000R and CB650R, with modern lines and a hint of retro and café racer.

In the 2022 model, it has brushed alloy radiator side covers, black-out engine, new sports exhaust, the all-new steel tubular frame and the 41 mm inverted front suspension in gold color.

Speaking of the front suspension, it is the same used in the larger CB650R model, with 41 mm in diameter. To complete the setup, it features a 296 mm floating front brake disc and a radial-mounted 4-piston caliper.

In addition, it is equipped with two-channel ABS and the first-in-class ‘Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) system’. The wheels are 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, fitted with 110/70-17 tires at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear.

Power, technology, colors and price

The CB300R is equipped with a single-cylinder 286 cm³ liquid-cooled, 4 Stroke, SI, BS-VI engine, capable of generating up to 22.9 kW (30.7 HP) of maximum power at 9,000 rpm, and 27.5 Nm (2.76 kgfm) of torque at 7,500 rpm.

In addition, it has a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, which prevents the wheel from locking up in sudden downshifts.

Finally, the model has a monoshock rear suspension with 7-Step preload adjustment, a multifunctional LCD digital panel with Gear Position Indicator and Gear Shift Warning Lights, and Full-LED lighting.

Anyway, the 2022 CB300R is available in Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black. Prices start at Rs.277000 Ex-Showroom Delhi.
