Honda launched in Europe the 2022 model of the CB 650R, its 650cc ‘naked’ motorcycle with ‘Neo Sports Café’ style, which arrives with a new color option, but without any mechanical changes.
Now, the 2022 CB 650R can be purchased in the new color Sword Silver Metallic, in addition to the other three options: Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, Candy Chromosphere Red and Mat Jeans Blue Metallic.
Otherwise, there are no mechanical or design changes. It continues with the same 2021 package, with EURO5 4-cylinder engine, 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SSF-BP) suspension at the front and USB-C socket under the seat.
How is the Honda CB 650R
The Honda CB 650R was introduced in 2019 and took the CB 1000R as its inspiration, adopting the same design lines. It’s modern and minimalist, mixing café racer inspirations and a super-compact trapezoidal shape, with a retro twist.
In addition, the riding position is sportier than street, with the new tapered handlebar. The headlight is round and the lighting is Full-LED. The instrument panel is fully digital in LCD and even has a gear indicator.
The 2022 CB 650R has a liquid-cooled, 649 cm³ in-line 4-cylinder engine capable of generating up to 70 kW (93.8 HP) of maximum power at 12,000 rpm, and 63 Nm (6.4 kgfm) of torque at 9,500 rpm.
The gearbox is 6-speed and it also received assist and slipper clutch and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).
Finally, it features 41 mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SSF-BP) front suspension, 310 mm double disc brakes at the front, and tires measuring 120/70-17 at the front and 180/55-17 at the rear.
