Celebrating a decade of elegant riding for an important social cause, Triumph and the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) join forces for the eighth consecutive year bringing together classic motorcyclists and vintage motorcycles around the world on 23 May.

This year’s event marks its 10th anniversary and has raised $ 27.45 million since the first edition. Triumph Motorcycles has proudly supported DGR for the past eight years.

During this period, it brought together more than 300,000 classic motorcycle enthusiasts to help raise funds and raise awareness of prostate cancer and male mental health.

As a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, an exclusive Triumph Thruxton RS will be customized and unveiled before the event.

The prize will be reserved for the winner of the “Gentlefolk 2021” competition. To become eligible, participants must register at www.gentlemansride.com, where more information is available on how to qualify for the dispute.

Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride originated in 2012 in Sydney, Australia, with Mark Hawwa. After taking inspiration from a photograph with classic outfits and vintage bikes, Mark concluded that a themed tour would be a great way to combat the often negative stereotype of motorcycles and unite the global motorcycle community and raise funds for an important cause for all riders.

The event has attracted an increasing number of participants from around the world each year. This year, the fundraising event aims to reach the milestone of more than $ 30 million on its 10th anniversary, to maintain funding for research and programs with the Movember Foundation, the Social Connections Challenge and Veteran’s and First Responders Challenge.

Due to the constantly changing restrictions in each city and country in the world, the format of the DGR for 2021 will vary according to the location where each tour will take place. It will include a mix of Covid-19 safe events with only route or solo riding For information on how tours near you will be conducted, visit www.gentlemansride.com.

The DGR encourages everyone to participate by following the best protection practices against Covid-19 and maintaining appropriate measures of social distance.

TRIUMPH AND DGR

Triumph is proud to once again partner with Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride to support this incredible event and encourage all Triumph fans to dress elegantly, drive and donate, while meeting the standards of social detachment established by each country.

In addition to the exclusive Thruxton RS that will be raffled in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the initiative among participants in the “Gentlefolk” competition, Triumph will donate three more new motorcycles in its Modern Classic line to be presented to the three largest fundraisers in the world, totaling four motorbikes.

The Modern Classic motorcycle family from Triumph represents the spirit of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride: elegant, iconic, with a striking personality and developed for riding.

Triumph’s social media channels will also follow the hashtags #DGR2021 and #ForTheRide to interact and engage all participants from around the world and a series of digital influencers and celebrities will join solo riding to help DGR 2021 become another outreach edition of records.

The hashtag #WomenForTheRide can also be used by our riders participating in this edition.

“We at Triumph are proud to be the main partner of Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride for the eighth consecutive year and we are also delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the initiative. Our relationship with DGR is an extremely important partnership – raising funds and raising awareness on fighting prostate cancer and supporting men’s mental health are essential for both Triumph and pilots. As always, progress to raise awareness and support is even more effective when it comes to a lasting partnership in which we can improve and develop our collective activity year after year”, said Paul Stroud, CCO of Triumph.

“It is hard to believe that 10 years ago, some men and women in elegant suits got on their classic motorbikes and rode the first Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. We have made so many amazing connections and met so many inspiring people in the past decade. And one of the connections of which most we are proud of is Triumph Motorcycles. Since 2014, our partnership has paved the way for classic and vintage riders to get on their bikes, adopt an illustrious stance and ride for men’s health. This year, we’re not just celebrating 10 years of DGR , but also eight years of our partnership with Triumph. We look forward to collectively raising more than $ 30 million since the start of the event and flying elegantly for the health of men – whether at a protected event against Covid-19 or alone. We’re in this together,” said Mark Hawwa, Founder and Director of Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
