In a stunning announcement at the Wheels & Waves surf and motorcycling festival, renowned watch manufacturer Breitling unveiled its latest collaborations with Deus Ex Machina and Triumph Motorcycles.

These groundbreaking partnerships have been taken to new heights with the integration of the highly acclaimed Breitling Manufactured Caliber 01.

The Top Time range, originally introduced in the 1960s as an unconventional chronograph paying homage to the free-spirited era, has evolved to embrace its strong identity within the realms of motorcycles, classic cars, and road adventures.

Building upon the success of previous collaborations, Breitling has raised the bar with the introduction of the exceptional Breitling Manufactured Caliber 01.

Breitling CEO Georges Kern expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboratively created Top Time watches, stating, “These watches are designed for individuals who appreciate the mechanical intricacies of their timepieces just as much as the mechanics of their motorcycles. The Breitling Caliber 01 represents a finely tuned engine, crafted with precision and attention to detail, much like building the perfect motorcycle.”

Continuing its partnership with Australian motorcycle and surferwear brand Deus Ex Machina, Breitling has launched the third edition of the Top Time Deus, which will join the prestigious flagship collection. This new addition presents a monochrome aesthetic, deviating from its colorful predecessors.

The watch features a black dial, strikingly contrasted by white triple-register subdials and a tachymeter scale. It is available with a racing-themed black calfskin leather strap or a metal mesh bracelet. The vibrant red accents on the outer dial and the central chronograph hand, shaped like a lightning bolt, provide a touch of dynamic energy.

Underneath the surface, the timepiece boasts the exquisite Breitling Caliber 01 craftsmanship. Its open sapphire crystal case back proudly displays the iconic red God logo at the center, symbolizing the collaboration between Breitling and Deus Ex Machina.

In a momentous collaboration debut last year, Breitling partnered with British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph. The collaboration began with the release of a limited edition Breitling Speed Twin motorcycle and a pair of Top Time Triumph watches. One of the watches was limited to 270 numbered pieces exclusively for motorcycle owners, while the other was made available to fans.

This year, the Top Time Triumph has received a premium update and secured its place in Breitling’s core collection with the integration of the manufactured Breitling Caliber 01.

The refined mechanism of this movement can now be admired through a new open case back design. The dial showcases a dual-register display featuring a tachymeter scale to measure speed, with the Breitling and Triumph logos proudly positioned at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, respectively. The eye-catching ice blue color of the dial perfectly complements either the racing-themed black calfskin leather strap or the metal mesh bracelet.

The Top Time Triumph also pays homage to vintage Breitling references, incorporating elements such as a retro logo, mushroom-shaped chronograph pushers, and a distinctive “Zorro” dial design.

The bow tie pattern, originally introduced in the Top Time collection in the 1960s and named after the famous swordsman’s mask, has been seamlessly integrated using a metal brushing technique, revealing its intricate details under specific lighting conditions.

Watch collectors and enthusiasts alike are sure to be captivated by the allure of these unique timepieces, which seamlessly merge the worlds of horology and motorcycling.

The collaborations between Breitling, Deus Ex Machina, and Triumph Motorcycles represent a meeting of minds, celebrating craftsmanship, innovation, and a shared passion for adventure on the open road.
