KTM launched in Europe the 2022 model of the 390 ADVENTURE, its 373cc entry adventurer, which arrives with more on-board electronics, new wheels and new colors and graphics.
For 2022, the model gained two options for Traction Control: ‘Street’ and ‘Off-road’. When selecting the ‘Off-road’ option, the traction control allows for a certain slip, which allows for an even easier use of the bike in loose or wet terrain.
In addition, it gained new aluminum alloy wheels, with five spokes instead of six, which, according to the company, allows greater rigidity and resistance to the rims.
Finally, the 2022 KTM 390 ADVENTURE will be available in new colors and graphics: Black and Orange (the latter has a blue fuel tank).
How is the KTM 390 ADVENTURE
The entry-level adventurer KTM 390 ADVENTURE uses the base of the “naked” 390 Duke, but has specific adjustments and parts for off-road. Suspensions, for example, are specific, has a long-travel, and are fully adjustable at the front. The tires are for dual use (on and off-road) and the seat is wide and comfortable.
Despite using the base of “naked”, the design is similar to the biggest adventurers of the brand like the 790 Adventure, for example. The LED headlight and the windshield are in an identical position to the 790. The chassis is similar to that of the KTM 450 Rally, an ultra-light steel trellis type.
The small windshield is height-adjustable, and a larger windshield is sold as an accessory, as well as side cases and hand guards, among others.
In addition, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE is equipped with ABS, Traction Control and BYBRE brake calipers (from the Brembo group).
Engine and technology
The ‘heart’ of the 2022 KTM 390 ADVENTURE is a liquid-cooled 373 cm³ single cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 32 kW (43 HP) of maximum power and 37 Nm (3.7 kgfm) of torque. The transmission is 6-speed equipped with a slip clutch and the fuel tank capacity is 14.5 liters.
Finally, it has Full-LED lighting and a fully digital color TFT panel.
Anyway, the 2022 KTM 390 ADVENTURE will be available in stores in Europe in January 2022. For more information, visit https://www.ktm.com/en-int.html.
