2022 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin gets updates and new colors in Europe

Honda launched in Europe the 2022 CRF1100L Africa Twin (along with the Adventure Sports variant), which arrives with mechanical updates and new colors.

For 2022, both Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports receive updates to further enhance their daily practicality.

The 2022 CRF1100L Africa Twin now features an aluminum rear mount as standard, and the 2022 CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports benefits from a new adjustable 5-stage windshield lowered by 110mm which, according to the company, improves visibility and does not compromise protection from wind and rain.

Both the DCT versions of Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports have been updated for 2022, with new settings refined to offer even smoother handling in the first two gears from a stationary start and at low speeds.

To complete the 2022 updates, both models receive new colors and graphical updates. The CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports features new “Cracked Terrain” graphics and the CRF1100L Africa Twin now features a new ‘Big Logo’ design with revised color schemes ​​which feature new black aluminum side covers and a red rear subframe.

The 2022 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin has a 1,084 cm³ twin-cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 75 kW (101 HP) of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 105 Nm / 10.8 kgfm of torque at 6,250 rpm.

It works in conjunction with the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) automatic transmission in addition to the standard 6-speed ‘manual’ transmission.

The CRF 1100L Africa Twin has a rally-style body, slim fuel tank and narrow seat, adjustable between 850 mm or 870 mm in height.
