Yamaha’s MT-09 and XMAX 300 Win Red Dot Design Award 2024

Yamaha announced that it received the Red Dot Design Award 2024, one of the most prestigious design awards in the world, for the MT-09 motorcycle and the XMax 300 maxiscooter.

This is the 13th consecutive time that the Japanese company has received the international award, making it clear that the company’s products bring what the jury wants.

Remembering that the jury is made up of experts from different areas of design. The registered products are analyzed based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability, among others.

The 2024 version of the powerful naked MT-09 brought significant changes to its front optical set, with a fairing that surrounds the LED headlight projector and the DRLs. This made the model a bit strange, but apparently the jury liked it and thought it deserved a prize.

The XMax 300 sports maxiscooter has a modern and futuristic design, with well-defined lines and a set of front lights in the shape of an ‘X’, making it very elegant and even a little aggressive.

Anyway, with another award in their pockets, we can say that Yamaha is one of the forces in terms of design, making changes and innovations that, in the eyes of some, may shock, but that definitely sets standards.
