TVS launches more powerful and lighter 2023 Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180
TVS Motor launched in India the 2023 model of the Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180, its 160cc and 180cc street models, which arrive with more power, lighter and with 3 riding modes.
In addition to mechanical improvements and the inclusion of important technological items, the models received a small design update, with new colors and more modern graphics.
According to the company, the TVS Apache series has been at the forefront of technology and innovation since its launch in 2005 and continues to set a benchmark in the performance segment. Apache RTR motorcycles have offered many best-in-class features and technology to customers, from Electronic Fuel Injection, ABS, Dual Channel ABS, Slip Clutch, to the latest SmartXonnectTM, Riding Modes, and LED headlight.
The new 2023 Apache RTR 160 has a maximum power of 16 HP and its weight has been reduced by 2 kg. The 2023 Apache RTR 180 leaves the factory with 17 HP of maximum power and 1 kg less in weight. Thus, the power-to-weight ratio has been improved on both motorcycles, offering an incredible riding experience.
The new models have been updated with striking styling elements and eye-catching new graphics that are in line with their racing DNA. Both motorcycles also receive industry-leading features such as a new LED headlight and a new LED taillight.
Additionally, the Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180 will come equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital instrument cluster and SmartXonnectTM technology with voice assistance, as well as three riding modes, namely – Rain, Urban and Sport, showing its adaptability to different conditions.
Finally, these motorcycles also get an X-ring chain, a wider 120mm rear tire, and gear position indicator with shift assistant.
The 2023 TVS Apache RTR 180 retails in India for from INR 130,590 (approximately US$ 1,642) and is available in two colors: Glossy Black and Pearl White. The 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 starts at INR 117,790 (approximately US$ 1,481) and is available in 5 colors: Gloss Black, Pearl White, Racing Red, Matte Blue and T-Grey.
