Motron Nomad 125 is a ‘premium’ city bike competing with Yamaha MT-125
Motron, a brand of the Austrian group KSR, already sells the Nomad 125, its premium 125cc motorcycle, in Europe. It competes with the Yamaha MT-125 and arrives with an aggressive design and larger motorcycle size.
Facing the Yamaha model is not an easy task, but the Nomad 125 tries to win the consumer with a sporty design, with well defined angles and precisely drawn lines, in addition to a much more affordable price.
Just to exemplify, the Yamaha MT-125 is sold for approximately € 5,199 in Spain. The Motron Nomad 125 starts at € 3,299, that is, a price almost 37% lower.
In the 2022 model, the Nomad 125 gained wheels painted in neon yellow (in the Gray and Silver versions), making it very youthful and cheerful. In addition, it is available in a more sober color, completely black, with just a small neon yellow graphic on the tank.
In terms of mechanics, it has USD forks at the front, monoshock at the rear, minimalist exhaust under the engine, stylized 17″ aluminum alloy wheels and disc brakes on both axles.
The engine is a single-cylinder 125cm³ liquid-cooled, capable of generating up to 9.25 kW (12.7 HP) of maximum power at 9000 rpm, and 10.5 Nm (1.06 kgfm) of torque at 7000 rpm.
Finally, the gearbox is 6-speed, the fuel tank capacity is 13 liters, the curb weight is 149 kg and the tires have the following measurements: 100/80-17 at the front and 140/70 -17 at the rear.
Completing the package, it brings Full-LED lighting with projector for the headlight, 100% digital panel in inverted LCD, and USB socket for cell phone charging.
