Indian Motorcycle Introduces the New Indian Pursuit Elite and the Return of the Chieftain Elite

Indian Motorcycle has unveiled its latest additions to the limited-edition Elite class of motorcycles with the introduction of the Indian Pursuit Elite and the return of the ultra-premium Chieftain Elite.

These Elite models represent the pinnacle of American V-Twin style and exclusivity, featuring premium componentry and custom-inspired details straight from the factory.

Indian Pursuit Elite

The Indian Pursuit Elite is a touring machine designed for riders who value the journey as much as the destination. With only 150 units available worldwide, the Pursuit Elite offers sophisticated style, unparalleled comfort, and exceptional performance.

Its premium Super Graphite Metallic and Black Metallic paint with Shadow Bronze Chrome accents exudes sophistication, and the color-matched Elite badging and premium components complete the bike’s beautiful design.

At the heart of the Indian Pursuit Elite is the 108 cubic-inch, liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine, which delivers best-in-class 122 horsepower and 128 ft-lbs. of torque, providing incredible V-twin touring performance with unmatched passing power.

The Pursuit Elite also boasts advanced ride-enhancing technology, including electronically adjustable rear suspension preload from Fox® for optimal comfort and handling under varying conditions, and Smart Lean Technology using a Bosch® Inertial Measurement Unit to tune traction control, ABS, and torque for even more control and unsurpassed handling.

About technology, the Indian Pursuit Elite offers a luxurious ride experience with a heated seat for both the rider and passenger, adjustable controls on the seat and infotainment system, and premium styling. The seven-inch touchscreen powered by RIDE COMMAND and equipped with Apple CarPlay® integration, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth® connectivity, and one year of RIDE COMMAND+ connected features provides advanced connectivity and convenience.

The Powerband Audio system with built-in amplifiers, a 9-band equalizer, and 16 speakers delivers crystal clear sound at any speed. The Pursuit Elite also offers ample storage space with remote-locking saddlebags and trunk, and a quick release low profile trunk is available as a color-matched accessory for further customization.

Indian Chieftain Elite

The Chieftain Elite, on the other hand, is designed for riders who demand the best of the best and want to stand out from the crowd. With only 175 units available globally, the Chieftain Elite is a limited build and highly exclusive.

It features meaner and more aggressive styling with custom-inspired details straight from the factory, including Super Graphite Smoke paint scheme complemented by premium Shadow Bronze chrome finishes and Indian Motorcycle headdress floorboards.

The Chieftain Elite is powered by the most powerful Indian Motorcycle air-cooled engine, the Thunderstroke 116, which delivers 126 ft-lbs of torque. It also features rear cylinder deactivation for improved rider comfort in slow traffic, and three selectable ride modes, including Tour, Standard, and Sport, for customized throttle response to match the rider’s style.

Similar to the Indian Pursuit Elite, the Chieftain Elite comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display powered by RIDE COMMAND, offering Apple CarPlay®, GPS with navigation, and RIDE COMMAND+ features such as live traffic and weather overlays, and a vehicle locator feature.

It also includes backlit switch cubes, an integrated PowerBand audio system, ABS, keyless ignition, tire pressure monitoring, and weatherproof and remote-locking saddlebags with over 18 gallons of storage as standard equipment.

Color-matched accessories, including a quick release touring and low-profile trunk, and hard lower fairings, are available for further personalization.

Price and Availability

The pricing for the Indian Pursuit Elite starts at $39,999, while the Chieftain Elite starts at $35,499. Both will be available around the world in spring 2023.
