Honda launched in Europe the 2022 Super Cub and Monkey, two of the brand’s most enduring icons. They return to Honda’s European lineup with a new EURO5 compatible engine, as well as improved comfort and new colors.

2022 Super Cub

The Honda Super Cub is, according to the brand, the best-selling motor vehicle in the world – having sold more than 100 million units worldwide since 1958.

For the 2022 model, it comes with a more powerful and more economical engine (according to the company, it is capable of reaching 1.5L/100km, or 66.7km/L, in WMTC mode).

In addition, it gained improved comfort, with a change in suspension to make riding smoother.

The iconic ‘S’-shaped Super Cub styling remains and now features a rear seat and rear pedals as standard, along with full LED lighting.

For 2022, it comes with a brand-new Mat Axis Grey Metallic colour scheme, which is topped off with classic red seats that pays homage to the 1958 original.

2022 Monkey

The Honda Monkey was reintroduced in 2018 as a useful and fun motorcycle fit for 21st century life.

It also arrives with the new EURO5 compatible engine, which is capable of generating up to 6.9kW (9.25 HP) of maximum power and 11Nm (1.1 kgfm) of torque.

With the excellent consumption of 1.5L/100km and with the 5.6 liter tank, it is capable of reaching up to 370km.

In addition, the company says that a larger 5-speed gearbox has also been added to make longer journeys more enjoyable.

The original classic ‘Monkey’ style remains, with mini-ape handlebars, chrome mudguards, upswept exhaust, large padded seat, chunky tires and ‘peanut shaped’ tank.

Finally, the classic Banana Yellow and Pearl Nebula Red color schemes are accompanied by a new Pearl Glittering Blue.
