Bajaj Launches 2023 Pulsar N160 in India: New Engine and Dual Channel ABS

Bajaj has launched in India the All-New 2023 Pulsar N160, its 160cc ‘streetfighter’ motorcycle, which arrives with a new engine and Dual channel ABS to fight with Honda XBlade, Hero Xtreme 160R and TVS Apache RTR 160.

Much like the Pulsar N250, the 2023 Pulsar N160 arrives with an aggressive and aerodynamic design with two-tone paint, darker in front and lighter in the rear.

It features LED lighting (headlights and taillights), with a front optical set similar to the Yamaha MT-03, with two LED lines for the daytime running light (DRL) and the LED projector for the high and low beam.

In addition, it has a sports exhaust system positioned under the engine, close to the bike’s general center of gravity, improving balance and handling.

According to the company, the 2023 Pulsar N160 features the best 37 mm front suspension in the category, which guarantees great handling and agility (only available in the version with Dual channel ABS).

At the rear, it is equipped with a monoshock suspension with Nitrox that offers precise handling and balance.

Engine and Technology

Bajaj informs that the engine that equips the 2023 Pulsar N160 is completely new. It is a single-cylinder 164.82 cm³ DTS-i oil cooled, Twin Spark engine, capable of generating up to 11.7 kW (16 HP) of maximum power at 8750 rpm, and 14.65 Nm (1.47 kgfm) of torque at 6750 rpm. In addition, it works together with a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of technology, it has an ‘infinite’ panel with analogue tachometer in the center and digital LCD screen on the right, Gear indicator, LED lighting (only headlight, DRL and taillights), 300 mm brake disc at the front (280 mm for the one-channel ABS), one- or two-channel ABS brake system, and a USB port for charging your cell phone.

Finally, the model has 17″ aluminum wheels, equipped with 100/80-17 tires at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear. The fuel tank capacity is 14 liters and the kerb weight is 154 kg (Dual channel ABS) and 152 kg (Single channel ABS).

Anyway, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar N160 Dual channel ABS sells in India for Rs 1,27,853 (approximately $1,635).
