Bajaj launches 2023 Dominar 160 ABS in Brazil to ‘dominate’ the premium entry level segment
Bajaj has launched the 2023 Dominar 160 ABS in Brazil, its 160cc ‘naked’ motorcycle known as the Pulsar NS160 in India, which arrives with bigger bike features to dominate the ‘premium’ entry level segment.
The Indian company started its operation in the South American country in December 2022, one of the largest motorcycle markets in the world, and which has shown consistent growth this year.
The new model, which arrives with a ‘streetfighter’ design and a 250cc motorcycle size, will compete mainly with the Honda CG 160 Titan, Yamaha Fazer FZ15 and Suzuki Haojue DR 160. The last two models are considered ‘premium’ in the entry level motorcycle segment, and offer something extra for a higher price.
As a whole, the Dominar 160 is better than its rivals, as it brings bigger bike features and superior performance, for practically the same price.
Thus, it has 17 hp of maximum power (the most powerful 160cc in Brazil!), 5-speed gearbox, air and oil cooling system, Upside Down (USD) front suspension and ABS brakes.
In addition, it has Pirelli Sport Demon tires measuring 90/90-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear, a 12 liters fuel tank and 142 kg of dry weight.
Finally, the model arrives at the brand’s stores in four color options (Plasma Satin Blue, Gloss Pewter Grey, Burnt Red Satin Black and Metallic Pearl White), for R$ 18,680.00 with shipping included (that’s about US$ 3,600). In India, the price for the Pulsar NS160 starts at INR 125,114 Ex-showroom Delhi (about US$ 1,512).
