Yamaha launches in Brazil 150cc adventure bike with LED and DRL
Yamaha has launched in Brazil a very interesting 150cc adventure bike, the 2023 Crosser ABS, both the ‘S’ version, more urban with lower fender, and the ‘Z’, suitable for off-roading with higher fender. They arrive with a new front design, mainly in the optical set, with LED projector and DRL.
The front optics of the 2023 Yamaha Crosser ABS has been completely reworked and somewhat resembles the KTM models. It received the DRL, which is the daytime running light, on the sides, in addition to a central LED projector, for the high and low beam. Modern, the set passes sophistication to the model.
In addition, it has a headlamp flasher, LED taillight, 100% digital panel with gear indicator, 12V socket and handlebar adjustment.
Otherwise, there are no mechanical changes, it remains with the same set as the 2022 model, with a 150cc Blueflex engine and front brake with ABS.
The 2023 Crosser S ABS is sold in Brazil in red starting from R$ 16,590.00 + shipping (about US $ 3,589). The 2023 Crosser Z ABS comes out in blue for from R$ 16,790.00 + shipping (US $ 3,632).
How is the Yamaha Crosser ABS
The 2023 Yamaha Crosser 150 ABS has an aggressive and robust look, with a higher fender (in the case of the ‘Z’ version) and a front suspension protector. It can be used in the city (especially the ‘S’ version, more ‘sporty’), and also on off-road.
For this, it has steel spoked wheels (19″ at the front and 17″ at the rear), dual purpose tires, and good ground clearance. The rear suspension is the consecrated monocross with link, which absorbs impacts better, making the ride smoother and safer.
The engine of the 2023 Crosser 150 ABS is a 149 cm³ single cylinder with air cooling, which is capable of generating up to 12.4 HP of maximum power (with ethanol) at 7,500 rpm and 13 Nm / 1.3 kgfm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It has the Y.R.C.S. (Yamaha Ram air Cooler System), which directs cold air to the spark plug, favoring performance.
More interestingly, this engine can operate with gasoline and/or ethanol, in any proportion, that is, you can mix the two that the electronic control unit identifies and adjusts.
In addition, it has a 5-speed gearbox and a 12 liters fuel tank. In terms of braking, it is equipped with disc brakes on both axles, with ABS at the front, which prevents the wheel from locking up in sudden braking or in low grip such as rainy days.
Finally, the handlebars have 2 levels of adjustment, for better ergonomics and comfort, the two-level seat is very comfortable and anatomical, and the pillion handles are made of aluminum, which contributes to weight reduction and a modern look.
Anyway, the new 2023 Yamaha Crosser 150 ABS gives an update on the front look to face the Honda NXR 160 Bros, SYM NH 190 and, more recently, the Haojue NK 150 ABS.
