Motorcycle sales in Brazil continue to grow and attract new brands to this market, which is one of the largest in the world. In 2024, the country sold 1.876 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds, an increase of 18.6% over 2023.

Honda dominates the market, with a 69% share, but its leadership is decreasing year after year. Yamaha comes in second, with 18%.

However, Chinese and Indian brands are already among the 10 largest on the Fenabrave (the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution in Brazil) list.

According to the entity, the Chinese brand Shineray is already the third brand that sells the most motorcycles in that country, year to date. Another Chinese brand, Haojue, comes in fifth. The Indian Royal Enfield is in seventh place and its domestic counterpart Bajaj, which began operations there at the end of 2022, is already in tenth place.

If we consider only the month of December 2024, Bajaj achieved even higher numbers, as it closed the month as the fifth brand that sells the most motorcycles there, surpassing Royal Enfield and Haojue.

With the market booming, new brands are showing interest in establishing operations in Brazil. The Italian brand Moto Morini has already confirmed that it will begin operations in 2025. Rumors also say that other Indian companies, Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor, are about to start operations there.
