The 2021 Continental GT got a total of five new colors, that is, Rocker Red and British Racing Green in the single tone version, and Dux Deluxe (White with Black) and Ventura Storm (Blue with Black) in the two-tone version. There is also an updated chrome version, called Mr. Clean.
“The launch of the 650 Twins marked a new chapter for Royal Enfield and paved the way for us to expand and lead the global mid-sized motorcycle segment. Since its launch, the Interceptor 650 has been the best selling naked motorcycle in the UK and has also grown the 500cc+ category more than 4-times in India. The Continental GT 650 continues to wow enthusiasts across the world, developing its own unique cult status and has helped us further develop the cafe racer culture globally. We are delighted with the success of these two motorcycles as they introduced many first time buyers into the Royal Enfield ecosystem. We believe that our new exciting colorways will go a long way towards bringing more enthusiasts into the brand fold”, said Vinod K. Dasari, CEO Royal Enfield.
How is the Interceptor 650
The Interceptor 650 has a traditional classic look from the brand, but it is equipped with the new 650 cc twin cylinder engine, recently developed. It is inspired by the Interceptor 650 of the 60s, with popularity mainly on the American West Coast (California, for instance).
According to the brand, the chassis was developed in partnership with the competition motorcycle maker, Harris Performance, delivering superior balance and handling.
In addition, it has two-wheel disc brakes with ByBre calipers (from the Brembo group) and ABS (floating front disc), rear suspensions with gas shock absorbers, Pirelli Sport Demon tires and 6-speed gearbox.
The engine is a 648 cm³ bicylindrical with air and oil cooling, capable of generating up to 47 HP of maximum power and 5.3 kgfm / 52Nm of torque.
