Zontes presents 125cc Scrambler, the 125G1X: spoked wheels and tubeless tires
Zontes (Chinese motorcycle manufacturer) presented in Europe the 125G1X, a new 125cc Scrambler, which comes with spoked wheels and tubeless tires, in addition to a lot of technology.
The Zontes 125G1X has a retro design with a hint of café racer, with round headlamp and mirrors. At the rear, the flashlight is located under the seat, very common in Scramblers.
The Scrambler capabilities of the small 125G1X are evidenced by modern spoked wheels (aluminum rims, steel spokes) and wide dual purpose tires (actually it is off-road), tubeless.
In addition, it has engine / fairing protection bars and side sliders.
Despite being 125cc, it has a lot of technology. The rear swing arm is made of aluminum alloy, the front suspension is the inverted type, the rear is monoshock and the model has a brake disc on both axles with two-channel ABS.
The heart of the Zontes 125G1X is a modern 125 cm³ single cylinder engine with liquid cooling, capable of generating up to 10.8kW (14.5 HP) of maximum power and 1.3 kgfm / 13Nm of torque. The gearbox is 6-speed with slip clutch.
The bike has a 20-liter fuel tank and the company says (on its European website, in Italian), that the range is up to 1,000 km. Frankly, we think a lot, because the average would be an incredible 50 km / L and we know that, in the real world, these numbers end up being lower. Even so, if you do 700-800 km with a tank it is already extraordinary.
Finally, the Zontes 125G1X is sold in Portugal for € 3,256, in Italy (version with aluminum alloy wheels) for € 2,790 and in the United Kingdom for £ 3,099.99.
