Yamaha launched in India the MT-15 MotoGP Edition, a special edition with the team colors in the top category of world motorcycling.

The Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP Edition is based on the black model, with unique graphics on the side and tank fairings, with the ‘Monster Energy’ logo and branding highlighted.

In terms of mechanics there is no change, it continues with the same set of the normal version of the model, which is a premium entry ‘naked’ bike.

In addition to the MotoGP version, Metallic Black, Dark Matt Blue and Ice Fluo-Vermillion (Gray with Red wheels) are available.

How is the MT-15

The Yamaha MT-15 is a 155cc bike with a design inspired by the 2020 MT-09. It is very aggressive and defined, with muscular lines, which makes it look like a bigger bike. The inverted front suspension and short tail also contribute to this.

Technology is not lacking on the bike. It has a fully digital inverted LCD panel (the background is dark and the characters are light), ABS as standard (depends on the market), assist and slipper clutch, Delta Box frame, alloy wheels and LED headlight and taillight.

In addition, the rear swingarm is made of aluminum (Diecast), usually present in larger and premium models.

The MT-15 MotoGP Edition has an engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology, which delivers more power at high speed and good torque and fuel economy.

It is a 155 cm³ single cylinder (4 valves) with liquid cooling and VVA technology, capable of generating up to 18.5 HP of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm/1.4 kgfm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The transmission is 6 speed with assist and slipper clutch and the fuel tank capacity is 10 liters.

The wheels are 17 inches chocked with tires measuring 100/80-17 at the front and 140/70-17 at the rear, tubeless. The curb weight (already with fluids and fuel) is 138 kg and the seat height is 810 mm.

Anyway, the Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP Edition is sold in India for INR 1,47,900, Ex-Showroom Delhi.
