Yamaha launched in Thailand the 2022 MT-15, its high performance 155cc motorcycle, which comes with new colors and graphics but keeping the same mechanical set as the previous model.

The 2022 Yamaha MT-15 is equipped with inverted front forks which, in addition to improving the handling, gives the bike a fantastic look, as it is painted in gold (in the Blue and Black color option). Furthermore, the rear aluminium swingarm is MotoGP inspired and also improves stability in corners and under hard braking.

In terms of electronics, the MT-15 features a fully digital LCD panel that displays a customizable animated text, along with a Gear Shift, Gear Position and VVA indicator. It also displays Call, E-mail and SMS Alerts along with Smartphone battery status available through the Bluetooth Enabled Y-Connect App.

Finally, the 2022 MT-15 comes with a new color set, featuring Cyan Storm, Icon Blue and Tech Black.

The MT-15 is sold in Thailand with prices starting at 101.000 baht (approximately US $ 2,930).

How is the MT-15

The Yamaha MT-15 brings a very aggressive design, with muscular lines, which makes it look like a bigger bike. The inverted front suspension and short tail also contribute to this.

It has a fully digital inverted LCD panel, single channel ABS as standard, assist and slip clutch, Delta Box frame, alloy wheels and LED headlight and taillight.

The naked streetfighter continues to feature a Bi-Functional LED Headlight with LED Position Lights, 282 mm (Front) and 220mm (Rear) disc brake, a super wide 140 mm rear tyre, and side stand with engine cut-off switch.

The 2022 MT-15 has an engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology, which delivers more power at high speed and good torque and fuel economy.

It is a 155 cm³ single cylinder (4 valves) with liquid cooling, capable of generating up to 18.4 HP of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm/1.4 kgfm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The transmission is 6 speed with assist and slip clutch and the fuel tank capacity is 10 liters.

The wheels are 17 inches fitted with tires measuring 110/70-17 at the front and 140/70-17 at the rear, tubeless. The curb weight (already with fluids and fuel) is 133 kg and the seat height is 810 mm.
