Gresini Racing presented the bikes for the 2023 MotoGP season, revealing the colors that will be used this season by Alex Marquez (who was riding for LCR Honda) and Fabio Giannantonio. Founded by Fausto Gresini and led by Nadia Padovani Gresini, Fausto’s widow, the team aims high and wants more victories in this championship.

The big news for this season is the arrival of Alex Marquez, brother of eight-time World Champion Marc Marquez. The Spanish rider will be assisted by Donatello Giovanotti (track engineer) and Andrea Mattioli (data engineer), while he will inherit the rest of the team that last year celebrated four wins alongside Bastianini.

The bike for 2023 will also be a Ducati, the Desmosedici GP22, that is, the one that was used by the official Ducati last season and that won the title with Francesco Bagnaia. It continues in a light blue tone, which is the predominant color of the team, but now has more parts in classic Ducati red.

Fábio Giannantonio #49: “We started 2023 with an extra dash of red, which means determination, passion, fire… I look forward to continuing to grow and do well. We want to take this new season race by race, with the awareness that this is the right time: top ten should be the regular occurrence, while top five should be a realistic target. The team is loaded and I trained 300% hard for this year – we are ready!”

Alex Marquez #73: “Today is a very special day: seeing this team so united and ready is something that brings me great emotions. Being here at this presentation is something very special. Seeing so much drive and excitement within the team and the people who came to see us is something I really enjoy. Now the work begins, for a pre-season that we hope will allow us to be 100% ready for the first race in Portimão. The aim is to have a great start to the season because it will set the pace for the rest of 2023. We have the tools and the will to do well; It’s not going to be easy, obviously, but the right approach helps a lot in these scenarios.”

Nadia Padovani, team owner: “We are very excited about this new adventure. 2022 was amazing in every way, but the idea is to keep improving and surprising. We are a young team with big ambitions: Fabio will have the chance to show his full potential in his second year and Alex is eager to get back on stage… we will do our best to ensure that both succeed. Today is almost a return to normality with such an important presentation and with people joining us: a big thank you to the sponsors and the whole team who worked so hard to get us ready.”
