Ducati Unleashes the Thrilling 2024 Hypermotard 698 Mono, its First Single-Cylinder Supermotard
Ducati has left the motorcycle world buzzing with excitement as they unveil the brand-new 2024 Hypermotard 698 Mono, its 698 cc single-cylinder bike.
It’s not just another addition to their line-up; it’s the first single-cylinder Supermotard from the iconic manufacturer, designed to provide the ultimate thrill on both the track and the city streets.
At the heart of the Hypermotard 698 Mono lies the Superquadro Mono engine, derived from the powerful 1299 Panigale. This single-cylinder beast churns out an astonishing 77.5 hp and revs up to a mind-blowing 10,250 rpm. And if you’re on the track with the Termignoni racing exhaust, you’ll witness a power boost of 7 horsepower, hitting an impressive 84.5 hp.
With a high-revving engine and Desmodromic distribution, it’s clear that this motorcycle means business, even borrowing technology from Ducati’s MotoGP endeavors.
The electronic package on this bike is top-notch, with features like Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, and more. It’s designed to cater to both novice and experienced riders, making Supermotard-style riding accessible and thrilling for all.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono doesn’t just stop at performance; it boasts unmistakable Ducati style. With its sleek and compact design, aggressive lines, and distinctive dual silencers, it’s impossible to ignore. The bike’s ‘Graffiti’ livery in the RVE version adds an artistic touch to the already striking appearance.
Electronically, the Hypermotard 698 Mono is loaded. It offers four riding modes and advanced features like Engine Mode, DTC, EBC, and ABS levels. The bike is equipped with a 3.8″ LCD instrument panel with gear change indication, making your ride information easily accessible.
The chassis and ergonomics of the motorcycle ensure a lightweight and nimble ride. With a curb weight of 151 kg without fuel, it’s agile and responsive. The trellis frame, cast rims, and advanced suspension components contribute to its impressive performance.
Braking is handled by a single 330 mm front disc with a Brembo caliper, designed exclusively for this bike. The Hypermotard 698 Mono is a joy to ride, offering maximum control for both traditional and sporty riding styles.
Anyway, the 2024 Hypermotard 698 Mono will be available in dealerships from January in classic Ducati Red with a powder-coated frame, or you can opt for the RVE version with its distinctive graphics, black frame, and DQS quickshifter as standard.
If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast looking for an adrenaline-pumping experience, the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is a must-see.
