BMW Presents R20 Concept: Classic Design and Big Boxer Engine in the Spotlight
BMW presented the R20 concept at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, famous for its elegance and historical significance for extraordinary vehicles.
The BMW R20 concept features a modern classic design and the Big Boxer engine as its centerpiece, which consequently takes center stage.
This unique motorcycle is very minimalist, with an extremely short rear end and slender body. With this, the huge engine takes center stage, with each cylinder taking up a lot of space on the sides.
Another piece that stands out in the design is the aluminum fuel tank, which features the “warmer than pink” color from the 1970s.
The engine that powers the concept is the well-known Big Boxer that powers other models of the brand. It has a displacement of 2,000 cc and is air and oil cooled.
Anyway, with this concept, it could be that in the future BMW will launch a Roadster motorcycle with the Big Boxer engine. Currently, the only Roadster with a boxer engine sold by the brand is the R 1250 R, which uses the same engine as the adventurous R 1250 GS.
