Bajaj launches 2023 CT 125X for US$ 897, India’s cheapest 125cc motorcycle
Bajaj launched in India the 2023 CT 125X, its 125cc motorcycle which is the cheapest in that country, sold for the equivalent of US$ 897, that is, it is much cheaper than many electric bikes sold in the US and Europe.
The CT 125X is a very simple bike, but it comes with some items that give it a certain ‘adventurous capacity’. The tires, for example, are tubeless, the front suspension has a dust cover and there is an engine/crankcase protector. These items, together with a slightly higher suspension, make the model more conducive to traveling on bad roads.
In addition, it has side protectors, which increases safety in the event of a fall, and reinforced rear trunk support, allowing you to carry more weight or larger loads.
The CT 125X tries to bring some of the classic look, especially from Triumph models, with rubberized knee pads on the sides of the tank and flat seat.
Despite being simple and cheap, the Bajaj CT 125X is equipped with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, fitted with tires measuring 80/100-17 at the front and 100/90-17 at the rear. There is a version with drum brakes on both axles and disc brakes at the front, both with the CBS system.
The engine is a 125 cm³ single-cylinder engine with air cooling and carburetor, capable of generating up to 10.9 HP of maximum power and 11 Nm/ 1.1 kgfm of torque.
Finally, the model does not leave technology aside and comes standard with LED DRL (daytime running light) and USB port to recharge the cell phone.
The Bajaj CT 125X retails in India for from INR 71,354 (approximately $897). Available colors are Black with Green, Black with Blue and Black with Red. There is no forecast for other countries.
