Aprilia launches 2021 Tuono 125 and RS 125: revised design and engine update

Aprilia has launched the 2021 model of the Tuono 125 and RS 125. Both entry level motorcycles comes with revised design and engine update.

According to the brand, the new lightweight and dynamic Aprilia Tuono 125 is the perfect choice for young riders who are looking for great performance and a bold personality. Designed and built in Italy, its gritty design, superb chassis and powerful engine make this a true stand-out bike.

The style of both motorcycles is now similar to the Tuono 660 and RS 660. It is more muscular and sharper, with new LED headlight.

The dimensions of the front part of the 2021 Aprilia Tuono 125 have been reduced for a more compact appearance, while the engine spoilers are now more tapered than previous editions.

On the 2021 Aprilia RS 125, the clip-ons position was raised by 18 mm which, according to them, provides more comfort.

Both bikes has a new backlit digital dashboard containing useful trip data such as fuel level, instantaneous and average consumption, remaining mileage and much more.

Also, they have dual-channel ABS, developed in collaboration with Bosch and fitted with an ‘anti-rollover system’ for greater safety during emergency braking.

Updated engine Euro5 compliant

About power, both comes with a new Euro5 compliant, 124.2 cm³ single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which can produce up to 11 kW (14,75 HP) of maximum power at 10.000 rpm.

This was possible due to a new head, redesigned combustion chamber, new intake and exhaust ducts and a new iridium spark plug.

The 2021 Aprilia RS 125 comes in two colors: Aprilia Black and Sintesi Blue. There is also a GP Replica with a livery that evokes the Aprilia MotoGP RS-GP, along with Quick Shift electronic gear change and a passenger seat cover. The price starts at £4,600 (US$ 6.389).

The 2021 Aprilia Tuono 125 comes in three colors option: Aprilia Black, Lightening White and Arrow Grey. Prices start at £4,500.
