2023 Triumph Scrambler 900: what’s new on this versatile bike?

Triumph has released the 2023 Scrambler 900, its classic 900cc scrambler bike, which arrives with new colors and graphics, as well as a new name.

Previously, the Scrambler 900 was known as the Street Scrambler. According to the company, the new name was chosen to better represent the family connections in Triumph’s iconic Bonneville line and its specific engine capacity.

For 2023, the Scrambler 900 comes in three colorways, featuring a classic Triumph Jet Black, a new Carnival Red and Jet Black scheme with striking new contemporary graphics, plus a new Matt Khaki scheme that celebrates the Scrambler’s iconic off-road heritage.

The new Carnival Red and Jet Black paint scheme includes a Carnival Red fuel tank with contemporary Jet Black stripe detailing and Jet Black side panel, fairing and fenders.

Finally, the iconic Matt Khaki color scheme features a Matt Khaki fuel tank with side panel, frame fairing and Matt Jet Black fenders.

How is the Triumph Scrambler 900

The 2023 Triumph Scrambler 900 features a simple, traditional branded scrambler design with high dual exhaust, wide handlebars and spoked wheels.

The heart of the bike is the liquid-cooled 900 cm³ parallel 2-cylinder Bonneville engine, capable of generating up to 65 HP of maximum power at 7,250 rpm and 80 Nm / 8.0 kgfm of torque at 3,250 rpm. According to the brand, it emits less pollutants and is much more economical (it makes 23.3 km/L).

The front and rear suspensions have 140 mm of travel, and the front has a fork protection (dust guard).

The spoked wheels are 19″ at the front and 17″ at the rear, fitted with Metzeler Tourance dual purpose tires measuring 100/90-19 at the front and 150/70-17 at the rear.

In addition, they are equipped with a single 310 mm brake disc at the front, with 4-piston Brembo calipers, and a single 255 mm disc at the rear, with 2-piston Nissin calipers, both with ABS.

In terms of technology, it has a panel with analog display and LCD screen, three riding modes, switchable ABS brakes and traction control, torque-assisted clutch, USB socket, among others.

Anyway, the 2023 Triumph Scrambler 900 is sold in the UK with prices starting at £9,595.00.
