Triumph creates a unique Thruxton 1200 RS to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DGR
The next May 23 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) and, to commemorate this incredible milestone, and the initiatives for the health of men for which the DGR was created to support, Triumph Motorcycles has created an impressive and exclusive Thruxton 1200 RS that will go to a lucky fundraiser in the competition.
Reflecting the passion and commitment of DGR participants to fundraising worldwide, this exclusive motorcycle will be the top prize in the “Gentlefolk DGR 2021” competition to reward the fundraiser who follows all the steps necessary to enter the competition . As the participant fulfills these steps, he unlocks his “badges” and thus guarantees his participation in the draw.
The “Gentlefolk” competition was created to give DGR supporters the chance to win some of the incredible prizes offered. To have the chance to win the exclusive Thruxton RS, fundraisers need to follow these steps to unlock their badges (full details available at www.gentlemansride.com):
- Fill out your profile
- Donate on your own profile
- Make a random donation to another rider
- Collect a minimum of $ 250
Following these steps, all participants in the draw already guarantee the commemorative patch of DGR 2021 and their individual entry to compete in the exclusive Thruxton RS of DGR. The winner will be drawn by the DGR when the fundraising ends on June 6th.
This commemorative Thruxton 1200 RS was designed, painted and customized at Triumph’s paint shop in the UK, a state-of-the-art facility within the Hinckley factory, in which highly qualified professionals ensure the highest possible quality in motorcycle designs and create paintings exclusive handmade.
The partnership between Triumph and Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride represents one of the English manufacturer’s most important and long-lasting collaborations. This exclusive Thruxton RS demonstrates Triumph’s commitment and passion for DGR and, consequently, for the male health charities that are part of the initiative.
“10 years of riding with elegance in favor of male health is nothing short of incredible, and celebrating this with this exclusive motorcycle designed in collaboration with Triumph Motorcycles is a very exciting way to honor that. This Thruxton RS will be the top prize in our ‘Gentlefolk’ competition, giving every fundraiser who unlocks their badges on DGR 2021 a chance to win. It is a reminder of the DGR that brilliantly represents the efforts of our dedicated participants around the world and the shared passion of our partner, Triumph,” said Mark Hawwa, founder and director of the DGR.
ABOUT DGR 2021
Celebrating a decade of elegant riding for an important social cause, Triumph and DGR join forces for the eighth consecutive year bringing together classic motorcyclists and vintage motorcycles around the world on 23 May.
This year’s event marks its 10th anniversary and has raised $ 27.45 million since the first edition. Triumph Motorcycles has proudly supported DGR for the past eight years. During this period, it brought together more than 300,000 classic motorcycle enthusiasts to help raise funds and raise awareness about prostate cancer and male mental health. As a tribute to the 10th anniversary of DGR, this exclusive Triumph Thruxton 1200 RS was created.
Due to the constantly changing restrictions in each city and country in the world, the format of the DGR for 2021 will vary according to the location where each tour will take place. It will include a mix of safe events against Covid-19, with a defined route, or solo riding. For information on how tours near you will be conducted, visit www.gentlemansride.com.
