Introducing the 2024 Ducati Powerstage RR Limited Edition: Unleashing Power and Performance in the World of e-MTBs
Ducati, renowned for its iconic motorcycles, has ventured into the realm of electric mountain bikes (e-MTBs) with their latest release, the Powerstage RR Limited Edition.
Designed to tackle the most extreme off-road conditions, this exclusive e-enduro model promises to deliver maximum performance without compromise.
At the heart of the Powerstage RR Limited Edition is its “full carbon” frame, meticulously tested on the toughest terrains to ensure peak performance in the enduro field.
Employing Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Ducati identified stress points on the frame, resulting in strategic placement of carbon layers and fiber intertwining. The steering area, rear chain stay, and engine area have been reinforced with T-Ribs, enhancing stiffness and durability.
Every detail of the frame has been meticulously crafted for high functionality and quality. The internal cable routing is protected by a steering stop system called the T-Stopper, while the joints employ direct contact bearings with the carbon frame, eliminating the need for bushings. Additionally, the asymmetrical rear chain stay not only adds to the bike’s captivating design but also improves responsiveness and uphill traction.
The Powerstage RR’s geometric design solutions make it exceptionally fast and stable, even on the roughest terrains. With a verticalized 78° seat tube angle, riders can achieve an optimal position on technical uphill sections. The slack 64° head tube angle ensures the bike effortlessly conquers obstacles at top speeds.
Under the ‘hood’, the Powerstage RR Limited Edition features the new Shimano EP801 drive unit, a benchmark for the category. Delivering 250 Watts of nominal power and 85 Nm of torque, the EP801 ensures smooth and natural power delivery across a wider cadence range.
The drive unit of this electric bicycle offers two preconfigured assistance profiles: “long ride” for extended tours and “fast ride” for shorter, high-performance outings. The Shimano “E-Tube Project” app’s “Fine Tune” mode allows riders to create their own profiles, customizing the electric assistance. The removable 630Wh Shimano battery, positioned inside the verticalized downtube, improves balance by lowering the center of gravity.
The Powerstage RR Limited Edition boasts top-tier suspension components. The Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air fork, with 180 mm of travel, and the Öhlins m.2 spring shock absorber equipped with TTX technology, offering 170 mm of travel, provide full adjustability in rebound and compression at high and low speeds, ensuring precise handling and stability.
For gear shifting, the Powerstage RR relies on the SRAM GX AXS 12-speed wireless rear electronic shifting system, delivering instantaneous and precise gear changes at all times. Braking power is provided by the Braking First brakes with custom Ducati Corse levers and 203 mm thick 3 mm discs, making it one of the most powerful braking systems on the market.
Enhancing steering precision and strength-to-weight ratio, the Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels feature variable thickness carbon rims with a differentiated format (29″ front and 27.5″ rear). The Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S tires on the front and Pirelli Scorpion EMTB-S tires on the rear offer maximum grip and adherence, ensuring optimal traction in challenging conditions.
Completing the exceptional equipment lineup, the Powerstage RR Limited Edition includes a telescopic seat post, Renthal carbon handlebar, and a Fizik saddle with an integrated tool holder.

The aesthetics of the Powerstage RR Limited Edition are equally captivating, with a livery designed by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with the Centro Stile Ducati. Inspired by the Desmosedici GP23 of the official MotoGP team, the design enhances the unique character of this e-MTB. Limited to a production run of just 230 numbered units, this figure pays homage to the racing bike’s denomination, further solidifying its exclusivity.
