Honda launches minimalist e-bike that costs less than $1,000

Honda has launched the MS01 in China, its first electric bicycle, which comes with a minimalist design and up to 65 km of autonomy, for US$ 736.

The model was made in partnership with the retail brand MUJI, and expresses simplicity and functionality. It has 17″ aluminum alloy wheels, that is, the same size as the wheels used on motorcycles.

In addition, this e-bike is equipped with front and rear suspension, 70/90-17 tires, motorcycle type hydraulic front disc brake, LED lighting and LCD digital panel.

The Honda MS01 has a design that is becoming popular: it looks like a scooter, but it is an electric bike. This is evident by the presence of assistance pedals, which help to increase autonomy when the battery is running low.

The electric motor installed in the rear wheel hub has a maximum power of 400W, enough for a maximum speed of 25 km/h (15 MPH).

Finally, the lithium battery is removable and is installed inside the flat floor of the e-bike. It is 48V and 20Ah, which allows a range of up to 65 km on one charge.
