BMW Motorrad has presented its newest roadster, the R 1300 R, a model that comes equipped with the 1300cc boxer engine, the same as the big trail R 1300 GS.

The design of the new bike is very modern, sporty and aggressive, with a headlight that resembles models from KTM.

Despite the sportier look, with a more advanced riding position, the R 1300 R was made for people with different body types, with a seat height below 790 mm, and options for lower and higher seats.

As it could not be otherwise, we have to talk about the engine of this machine. It is the same as the one that equips the adventure bike R 1300 GS, that is, a 1300cc boxer, with up to 107 kW (145 hp) of maximum power, and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

In terms of technology, the bike comes equipped with three standard riding modes + Riding Modes Pro (optional), Engine drag torque control (MSR), Automated shift assistant (ASA) – depending on the version, upside-down telescopic fork and revised EVO Paralever rear suspension, electronic Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), Integral ABS Pro and Full-LED lighting.

In addition, it can be equipped with Riding Assistant with Active Cruise Control (ACC) and Front Collision Warning (FCW) and, for the first time, navigation preparation that now features electric unlocking.
