BMW launches new classic enduro bike with boxer engine, the R 12 G/S
BMW has launched the new 2025 R 12 G/S, an enduro motorcycle with a classic design and a boxer engine.
Inspired by the R 80 G/S from the 1980s, the model is a modern interpretation of the motorcycle that defined a generation, with great off-road capability and plenty of technology.
As expected, the R 12 G/S comes with a flat enduro seat, long-travel suspension, spoked wheels (21″ front and 17″ rear, with an 18″ option) and serrated footpegs.

According to the company, the minimum seat height is 860 mm, but it can reach 895 mm with the Enduro Package Pro.
The engine is the well-known 1,170cc boxer, which is capable of generating up to 109 hp of maximum power and 115 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
In terms of technology, it brings the best in the segment, such as 3 riding modes (“Rain”, “Road” and “Enduro”), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), engine drag torque control (MSR), BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, and Shift Assistant Pro (available as optional equipment).

Finally, the new BMW R 12 G/S hits stores in three color options: Night black matt paint for the basic, Light white paint for the optional, and Sandrover matt paint / Racing red matt paint / Mineral gray metallic matt, for the Option 719 Aragonit version.
