2023 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin is launched with new colors and graphics

Honda launched in Europe the 2023 CRF1100L Africa Twin (along with the Adventure Sports variant), which arrives with new colors and graphics, but maintains the mechanical set and design of the previous model.

For 2023, the CRF1100L Africa Twin comes in two new colors, joining the Grand Prix Red: Mat Ballistic Black Metallic (with an all-black frame), and Glint Wave Blue Metallic Tricolour (which features a new blue headlight cowl, and blue front fender and tail sections with red and white detailing).

The 2023 CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports comes in one new color, joining the Pearl Glare White Tricolour: Mat Iridium Gray Metallic, featuring black detailing that complements its jet black wheels.

Otherwise, there is no change. They continue with the same design and mechanical set that were updated in 2021.

How is the 2023 CRF1100L Africa Twin

The 2023 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin has a 1,084 cm³ twin-cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 75 kW (101 HP) of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 105 Nm / 10.8 kgfm of torque at 6,250 rpm.

It works in conjunction with the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) automatic transmission in addition to the standard 6-speed ‘manual’ transmission.

The 2023 CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports has a larger 24.8 liter tank, fairing/engine protection bars and electronically adjustable Showa EERA suspension.

Ready for any type of terrain, it has a rally-style body, slim fuel tank and narrow seat, adjustable between 850 mm or 870 mm in height. In addition, it has an aluminum frame and subframe, aluminum rear swingarm and aluminum cylinder liners.

The electronics package is managed by the six-axis IMU, and includes Electronic Throttle (Ride By Wire) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), plus Cruise Control, Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control and Emergency Stop Lights. In addition, 6 riding modes are available: TOUR, URBAN, GRAVEL and OFF-ROAD, plus two customizable USER settings.

Finally, the instrument panel is digital in color TFT with 6.5″ and is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, allowing you to use maps and GPS, make calls, receive messages and listen to music through the phone’s apps.
