Revised style

Bonneville’s iconic, unmistakable silhouette and style has been enhanced by a set of touches that combine the iconic style of the T120 with the latest premium features from Triumph.

In addition, the iconic Bonneville tank carved with knee pads carries a new 3-bar heritage chromed metal badge, adding a new touch of style to the already unmistakable T120 design.

In the classic Bonneville T120, premium chrome finishes were used everywhere, including mirrors, mudguard stay, indicators, silencers, handlebars, headlamp bezel and filler cap.

On the Bonneville T120 Black, a series of components and details were darkened, including wheel rims, grab rail, engine covers, mirrors, headlamp bezel, indicators, and exhaust, plus a stylish brown bench seat with embossed Triumph logo.

Finally, the T120 is available in 3 color schemes, including a Jet Black single color option or a choice of two dual color schemes; Cordovan Red and Silver Ice, and Cobalt Blue and Silver Ice, both with golden hand-painted line.

For the T120 Black, there is a choice of Jet Black or a sophisticated Matt Jet Black and Matt Graphite scheme with a silver hand-painted line.

Handling improvements

The handling of the new Bonneville T120 has been improved for 2021, with a weight saving of 7 kg. The new aluminum wheel rims provide a great reduction in unsprung weight and inertia, making the new T120 more agile and maneuverable when driving, and also when you’re moving the bike around at standstill.

The braking system has been improved with a higher specification Brembo front brake, with a double disc configuration and 2-piston sliding calipers that provide excellent braking power and an improved feel. Safety and control have also been maximized thanks to Triumph’s latest generation ABS and switchable traction control.

Technology

The new Bonneville T120 comes with higher specification technology compared to its previous version, with cruise control now installed as standard along with enhanced riding modes.

Cruise control is set via a dedicated button on the handlebars. The rider can choose between Rain and Road riding modes, which will adapt the bike’s behavior according to the riding conditions.

In addition, another high spec rider focussed technology that comes standard include a torque-assist clutch, which reduces pilot fatigue in heavy traffic or longer trips.

There is also an engine immobilizer built into the key, a practical USB socket under the seat and a LED daytime running light.

Engine and performance

The engine of the new 2021 Bonneville T120 and T120 Black is Triumph’s signature 1200cc, high-torque British twin.

For 2021, the mass of the engine has been reduced significantly with the use of a lighter crankshaft. Together with an optimized clutch and balancer shafts, this has also reduced inertia, which provides the new generation with a noticeably more immediate and responsive throttle.

The T120 has been specifically tuned to provide high torque, from low revs to the middle range. The 1200 cm³ two-cylinder engine with liquid cooling, offers 10.5 kgfm / 105Nm of maximum torque at 3500 rpm and its power reaches a peak of 80 HP at 6550 rpm.

Finally, both models have 116 original Triumph accessories, allowing easy customization.
